Introduction
This is a blitz tour for those who are completing their Central Asia tour and flying home from Turkmenistan. From the magnificent old Khiva in Uzbekistan you will enter Turkmenistan. You will visit two of the most important destinations in Turkmenistan; Darwaza the Gas Crater, also called “Gates of Hell” or “Door to hell” and lately the official name is “Shining of Karakum,” and the White Marbled city of Ashgabat.
Itinerary
Day 1, Dashoguz (Near Khiva) – Darvaza
- We will be waiting for you at the border crossing point between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in Shavat town, which is near Khiva and Urgench.
- Proceed to the nearby city and the capital of the region Dashoguz.
- 14:00 Have a lunch and head towards Darvaza Gas Crater, also called “Gates of Hell”, (300km, 6 hrs).
- 20:00 Reach the Darvaza Gas Crater, and have an initial walk around it for 30 min.
- 21:30 Have a dinner nearby Darvaza, prepared with local ingredients and desert wood.
- 23:00 Have another walk around the Door to Hell, Darvaza.
- Overnight at Darvaza in tents or Yurt.
Day 2, Darvaza – Ashgabat
- 07:00 After breakfast proceed towards Ashgabat. On the way stop by two other Water and Mud craters and a village, for cup of coffee and shooting of a local life.
- 13:00 Reach Ashgabat and eat your lunch at a traditional restaurant.
- 14:30 Check-in a hotel and have free time in the Ashgabat city, one of the most beautiful and unusual cities in the world.
- 20:30 Have dinner in a restaurant.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 3, Ashgabat
- 08:00 Have a breakfast and start with sightseeing tour of Ashgabat.
- 14:00 Have a lunch at a local restaurant.
- 15:30 Continue with sightseeing of Ashgabat.
- Have dinner in a restaurant.
- Overnight in the hotel in Ashgabat.
- Early in the morning of the next day transfer to the International Airport and depart to your Home Country.
