Itinerary
Day 1, International Airport – Ashgabat
- Early in the morning the guide will meet you at the Ashgabat International Airport.
- Then proceed to a hotel in Ashgabat.
- Leave your luggage in the hotel without checking in and have some breakfast and some free time in the Ashgabat city.
- 12:00, Check-in the hotel and take some rest.
- 14:00, Lunch at a traditional restaurant.
- 16:00, Start with sightseeing of the city. Visit main sites; Nisa Ruins, National Museum, Independence and Neutrality Monuments, Bazaar, Anau ruins, etc.
- 21:00, Dinner at a restaurant.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 2, Ashgabat – Turkmenbashi
- 06:00, Early in the morning depart towards the city on the Caspian Sea, Turkmenbashi (600km).
- On the way we will visit mountain village Nokhur, and underground lake in a huge cave, Kow Ata.
- We will have a lunch on the way.
- 17:00, Reach the city of Turkmenbashi and then go to the Awaza beach resort.
- 19:00, After sightseeing of the Awaza we will have a dinner there.
- 21:00, Check in a hotel.
- Overnight in Turkmenbashi.
Day 3, Turkmenbashi – Yangikala – Ashgabat
- 08:00, After the breakfast we will head towards Yangikala Canyons (150km, 2 hours drive). This place is perhaps the most beautiful scenery in the entire Turkmenistan. Very nicely shaped and colored canyons in the middle of nowhere.
- 10:00, We will reach the canyons and will have some 3 hours of time spent there.
- 13:00, Start driving towards Ashgabat (550km). Have lunch on the way.
- 21:00, Will have dinner in Ashgabat at a restaurant.
- Check-in the hotel in Ashgabat.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 4, Ashgabat – Darvaza – Ashgabat
- 09:00, After the breakfast, have some free time in Ashgabat. You can move around in taxis as they are quite affordable.
- 12:00, After the lunch in a restaurant start driving towards Darvaza Gas Crater (300km, 5 hours drive)
- 17:00, Reach the Darvaza Crater, also called “Gates of Hell”, and have some time to walk around and take photos.
- 18:00, Dinner with kebabs made of chicken, beef or vegetables. Prepared locally.
- 20:00, More time by the Crater.
- 20:30, Start driving back to Ashgabat.
- 01:00, At night reach our hotel in Ashgabat.
Day 5, Ashgabat – International Airport.
- 10:00, After the breakfast have some free day in Ashgabat.
- Have lunch and dinner in some good traditional restaurants.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
- Early in the morning next day there will be an international flight out of Ashgabat.
- End of Tour!!!
