Introduction
This tour will take you to all the major tourist destinations in Turkmenistan. From Khiva you will go to Turkmenistan and you will also exit Turkmenistan from Khiva. We will return to Ashgabat three times during the entire tour so that you can see most of Ashgabat. On the last day we will return to Dashoguz and leave Uzbekistan.
Itinerary
Day 1, Khiva – Darvaza
- We will meet you at the border (Shabat).
- We will head directly to Darvaza Crater after lunch in a restaurant.
- 20:00 Reach Darvaza crater and have first walk around there.
- 21:00 Have dinner. it is usually a kebab prepared at the spot.
- 22:00 Spend more time at the “Gates of Hell”.
- Overnight in tents.
Day 2, Darvaza – Ashgabat
- 07:00 After Breakfast depart towards Ashgabat. On the way we will stop at two more craters: Water Crater and Mud Crater.
- 12:00 Reach Ashgabat and have lunch at a restaurant.
- 13:30 Start City Tour of Ashgabat.
- 18:00 Check in a hotel and have dinner afterwards.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 3, Ashgabat – Mary (Merv)
- 06:00 Check-out from the hotel and head to the Merv ruins.
- 12:00 Have a lunch somewhere close to the ruins and start the sightseeing tour.
- 15:00 Head towards the ancient Margiana ruins. (The oldest civilization in Central Asia, and one of the oldest in the world).
- 17:00 Start the sightseeing of the Margiana civilization.
- 19:00 Finish the Margiana tour and head to the hotel in Mary city.
- Have a dinner at a restaurant.
- Overnight in Mary city.
Day 4, Mary – Ashgabat
- 08:00 Check-out from the hotel and head to Ashgabat.
- 13:00 Reach Ashgabat and have a lunch in a restaurant.
- 14:30 Start a sightseeing tour of Ashgabat and the vicinity.
- 19:00 Check-in a hotel and then have a dinner in a restaurant.
- Have an 1 hour of night tour of illuminated Ashgabat.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 5, Ashgabat – Turkmenbashi
- 07:00 After breakfast drive to Turkmenbashi. On the way we will visit Akhalteke horse farm, Kow Ata and Nokhur mountain village.
- Have a lunch in Nokhur village.
- 19:00 we will reach Turkmenbashi.
- After some sightseeing of Awaza, (largest tourist resort on the Entire Caspian Sea). we will check in a hotel.
- Dinner in a restaurant with seafood from Caspian Sea.
- Overnight in Turkmenbashi.
Day 6, Turkmenbashi – Ashgabat
- 07:00 Checkout from the hotel and head towards the Yangikala Canyons.
- 10:00 Reach Yangikala and have sightseeing for 3 hours.
- 13:00 Head to Ashgabat. on the way we will have lunch at a restaurant.
- 22:00 Reach Ashgabat.
- Dinner at a restaurant.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 7, Ashgabat – Dashoguz(Flight) – Khiva
- Early in the morning we will checkout from the hotel and drive to the international Airport.
- Fly to Dashoguz city (near Uzbekistan, Khiva).
- Drive to visit the medieval city of Kunya Urgench.
- Have a lunch at Kunya Urgench.
- 16:00 We will take you to the border with Uzbekistan which is close to the Khiva city (Shabat). this border crossing point is NOT open 24/7, and closes before 18:00.
