Day1 – Dashoguz, Dashoguz, Turkmenistan to Derweze, Derweze, Turkmenistan.
- Uzbekistan border – Kunya Urgench – Darvaza 07:40 departure from Khiva to be at the border at 09:00. Going through visa procedures together with the guide. 10:30 Brief acquaintance with the tour program, discussion of details, plans for the tour. Start of tour of Kunya Urgench city, you will visit such places as: Inspection of Kutlughu Timur mausoleum (11th-12th centuries), Turabek Khanum mausoleum (14th century), Tekesh mausoleum (13th century), Il-Arslan mausoleum (12th century), Atabek caravanserai (13th century) and other historical monuments Lunch in a local cafe or on the way. Transfer to Darvaza Dinner on Darvaza, cooked on fire. Overnight stay in yurts. Meals included: dinner
Day2 – Derweze, Derweze, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
- Day 2: Darvaza-Ashgabad Breakfast in yurts, time for packing transfer from Darvaza to Ashgabat. Lunch in Ashgabat at a Local Restaurant: Upon arriving in Ashgabat, you’ll head directly to a local restaurant for lunch. Check-in to the hotel, time for rest. Start of the Ashgabat Tour: After your rest, your guided tour of Ashgabat begins – a city often dubbed the “white-marble capital.” You’ll witness its unique architecture and iconic landmarks. Ancient Nisa (Old Nisa): Your first visit will be steeped in history. Ancient Nisa (Kone-Nusay), located near Ashgabat, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was the former capital of the mighty Parthian Empire (3rd century BCE – 3rd century CE). Ferris wheel “Älem” This Ferris wheel is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the highest Ferris wheel in an enclosed space. It’s housed within a massive glass and white-steel building, giving it a futuristic appearance. Lenin Monument and Old Part of the City: Next, you’ll head to the older part of the city to witness the contrast between modern Ashgabat and its historical past. Dinner, a walk through the shopping center “Berkarar” Overnight in a hotel.
Day3 – Ashgabat, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Yangykala Canyon, Tersakkan, Turkmenistan.
- Day 3: Ashgabat – Yangikala – Gozli Ata Your third day will be a journey across diverse landscapes, from urban centers to the breathtaking natural wonders of Turkmenistan, culminating in a unique overnight stay. Morning: Departure from Ashgabat and Journey West Midday: Lunch in Gyzylarbat and Provisions in Balkanabat Around lunchtime, you’ll reach Gyzylarbat (also known as Serdar). After lunch, continue your drive to Balkanabat, the administrative center of the Balkan Province. In Balkanabat, you’ll have time to make purchases for dinner. This drive will take you through increasingly remote and stunning terrain. Upon arrival at the Yangikala Canyons, prepare to be awestruck. These vibrant, multicolored rock formations are a geological masterpiece, shaped by wind and water over millennia. You’ll drive to the nearby pilgrim village of Gozli Ata. This sacred site is home to the mausoleum of Gozli Ata, a revered Sufi saint. Overnight in the yurts.
Day4 – Türkmenbaşy, Türkmenbaşy, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
- Day 4: Gozli Ata-Turkmenbashi- Ashgabat Departure from Gozli Ata: After breakfast at your guesthouse or campsite near Gozli Ata, you’ll begin your drive. Gozli Ata is located to the southeast of Turkmenbashi. The drive should take approximately 2-3 hours, Turkmenbashi (formerly Krasnovodsk): Turkmenistan’s main port city on the Caspian Sea. * Seaside Visit: * Upon arrival, head straight to the coast. * Caspian Sea: The vast inland sea. Afternoon: Drive Back to Ashgabat it will be a long drive, so in Ashgabat you will arrive late, dinner will be on the way. Also you will visit Overnight in the hotel.
Day5 – Ashgabat, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Farap, Farap, Turkmenistan
- Day 5: Ashgabat – Mary – Merv – Turkmenabat / Farap border Breakfast at the hotel, then you will drive to Ancient Merv. City which was heart of Great Silk Road you will visit historical monuments such as: Big and Small Gala Askhab complex Erk gala, Giaur gala Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum Transfer to Farap border crossing Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan border point. Go through border formalities on both checkpoints. End of the tour with unforgettable memories.
